Instructions for patients

 

General

 

  • Please email (info@ishc.org.au) or fax (02 9542 8388) your referral as early as possible after your appointment is made, or ask your referring doctor to do so. This will allow us to ensure your referral is appropriate and seen in a timely manner.
  • Please bring the following documents to your appointment that relate to your complaint.
    • Test results (e.g. blood test results, Xrays, CT/MRI scans, lung function test)
    • Hospital discharge summaries
    • Medical/specialist reports

 

Without these, it may take longer to make an appropriate decision with regard to your care.

 

If your consultation relates to an allergy

 

  • Please avoid oral antihistamines (e.g. Claratyne, Zyrtec, Aerius, Demazin, Telfast, Xergic etc.) for AT LEAST 72 HOURS prior to your initial appointment.
  • If you need skin prick testing, please avoid oral antihistamines for AT LEAST 72 HOURS prior to your appointment.
  • If your consultation relates to a manufactured food or beverage product, please bring the details and ingredients.

 

 

Cancellations

 

  • Cancellations must be made 2 business days before your appointment to avoid forfeiting your deposit.

  • Travelled recently
  • Had close contact with someone who has been diagnosed or suspected of having coronavirus
