Orthopaedic Surgeon – Upper Limb Specialist

 

Dr Jehan Hamid is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty interest in upper limb surgery. He completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney and a further 18 months fellowship training in shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery. He is up to date with the latest techniques and technologies, including computer navigated shoulder replacements and arthroscopic/keyhole surgery of the shoulder and wrist.

 

During his training he worked with specialised upper limb surgery teams at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Hospital and Sydney Hand Hospital. He completed the Sydney Fellowship in Advanced Upper Limb Surgery and the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital Upper Limb Fellowship.

 

Dr Hamid has a relaxed and professional manner and is passionate about ensuring his patients receive the best possible outcomes. He practices at Wollongong Private Hospital, Waratah Private Hospital and Strathfield Private Hospital. He is also a locum visiting surgeon at Shoalhaven Hospital and Bankstown Hospital.

 

His training and research interests inform his patient-centred decision making.
